Chandrayaan-3 is the third and latest lunar investigation mission under Chandrayaan program. It comprises of a lander named Vikram and a wanderer named Pragyan like Chandrayaan-2, however doesn’t have an orbiter. Its drive module acts like a correspondence transfer satellite. The drive module conveys the lander and meanderer design until the rocket is in a 100 km lunar circle.
Following Chandrayaan-2, where a latest possible moment misfire in the arrival direction programming prompted the lander crashing in the wake of entering lunar circle, another lunar mission was proposed.
The send off of Chandrayaan-3 occurred on 14 July 2023, at 2:35 pm IST and lunar infusion of 100 km round polar circle was finished effectively as a feature of stage one. The lander and meanderer are supposed to land close to the lunar south pole locale on 23 August 2023.
The Chandrayaan-3 mission is a steppingstone towards ISRO’s future interplanetary missions.
