The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development is India’s principal regulator of cooperative banks and local rural banks National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). It is under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance of the Indian government. “Matters relating to policy, planning, and operations in the field of credit for agricultural and other economic activities in rural areas of India” have been given to the bank. NABARD is actively developing and implementing financial inclusion.
