Mahatma Gandhi led the nonviolent civil disobedience movement known as the Salt March, sometimes referred to as the Salt Satyagraha, the Dandi March, and the Dandi Satyagraha, in colonial India. The Salt Satyagraha March began on March 12th, 1930, in Sabarmati Ashram and ended on April 6th, 1930, in Dandi.
